One of the easiest ways to personalize the patient experience is to use the patient's name.

Whether you're scheduling the appointment with the patient, greeting them at the front desk, or when the provider comes into the exam room, using the patient's name is key to providing personalization of the experience.

When the patient doesn't feel like the experience is personalized, they unfortunately feel like the practice doesn't care about them.

On the other side of it, provider staff should wear a name tag, and it's great to introduce yourself as well.

For example, "Hi, my name is Ryan. How can I help you today? It's great to see you for your visit.”

Continuing to use the patient's name as well as your own will help personalize the experience for the patient at your practice.
